Distorted Waves is an alternative rock band, formed in 2023, and consists of Mark Cavanaugh and Preston Lewis. Bringing together a vast depth of influences, Distorted Waves is able to capture a modern alternative rock sound with a vibrant feel unlike any other. Specializing in juicy guitar riffs, but performing most instruments on recordings, Preston is able to intertwine his influences in a way that has not been seen before. Preston shrewdly pulls inspiration from his guitar heroes such as Dimebag Darrell and Randy Rhoads and melds it with his deep admiration for reggae artists like Tarrus Riley, Gentleman, and Morgan Heritage to create a beautiful atmosphere of sound that most people are surprised is possible.
